Spring is here but feels like summer

So Winter was a nonevent and went by with barely a sprinkle of snow here and there very late in the season. I was hoping for a white Christmas but alas it was mild and warmer than usual. Now we are into spring but it’s already feeling like summer; very warm weather. If Winter was any indication of climate change I’m going to dread summer as it will probably be very hot and a little bit too long.

Each year it feels like there is a migration of residents heading out of town and visitors coming in. The visitors vary from tourists hanging out and going to DC because we’re really close or family coming into town visiting relatives. This year will be no exceptions except for the weather, It will be mild until the heat of summer kicks in in August.

So as our stores restaurants and hotels gear up for “the season” all I can say is travel safe, have fun eat well and sleep well. Thank you for visiting and until the next take care.

Summer is Almost Gone

So as the title says, summer is almost gone. It’s been a crazy six months or so since our last post. Life has been a little hectic between commuting and raising our baby and Night Shift work for my other half. But that’s not with this website is all about is it….

Summer is the time of year to relax be with the family and vacations. In the US we get two weeks or so depending on several factors. While the rest of the world takes 30+ days off of work, we remain at the grind stone trying to get clients (who are on vacation) to make decisions. We also try to shine by making sure we do more than our co-workers by answering emails or send reports at 3 o’clock in the morning.

And so fall is almost here and with a renewed sense of vigor and urgency, we prepare for winter and the new year.

On that note, one of the things you’ll see from us is a new website; our blog has been a place holder so to speak. The new website, that is long overdue, will be fun to navigate and contain timely information about the city of Rockville Maryland.

Our website will be promoted near and far in an effort to inform travelers of the benefits of visiting our city. We will be exploring advertising options in search of support by local businesses that will benefit from out of town dollars… So stay tuned and let us know about your business’s marketing efforts – maybe we can help!
